About us

Dental tourism deserves honest editorial.

ToothAbroad is an independent publication and quote-checking guide for American patients researching dental tourism. We launched in 2026 because patients making $10,000+ decisions deserve clearer written evidence than a paid top-10 list or a clinic sales page.

Most "top dental clinics abroad" pages blur three very different things: editorial research, clinic marketing, and paid referral relationships. ToothAbroad's job is to separate those layers so a reader can see what is public research, what came from a clinic, what is still unverified, and what questions should be answered in writing before any deposit.

Our model is intentionally conservative:

  • We label clinic profiles by evidence stage instead of presenting every listing as fully verified.
  • We disclose that partnered clinics may pay a referral fee if a patient chooses to proceed through ToothAbroad.
  • We do not sell paid rankings, ghostwritten clinic reviews, or undisclosed sponsored recommendations.
  • We route serious users through written quote review first, so the patient sees missing costs, warranty gaps, material questions and aftercare issues before agreeing to a clinic introduction.
  • We remove or downgrade clinic language when evidence is missing, contradictory, or materially weaker than the clinic's marketing suggests.

The operator of ToothAbroad is based in Spain. ToothAbroad is not a dental provider, broker of clinical care, or substitute for a licensed dentist who has examined the patient. We help patients organize written evidence and questions; treatment decisions belong with qualified clinicians.

Editorial team and medical review

ToothAbroad is building a licensed dental reviewer bench for pages that include clinical judgment, procedure risk, recovery expectations, or aftercare guidance. Until a page names a licensed reviewer, credentials and review date, it should be read as editorial research and patient-question guidance — not medically reviewed advice. Reviewers are compensated on a flat per-page basis where applicable, never based on whether their review is positive. Read the medical reviewer program.
